Hey, Ylukyun! Would you consider reviewing my new Bandicoot Box for DS, please? :)
Sure! Do you want me to give it a proper review with a star rating, or just talk about it?
Dustdevil Grendels
My first impression of these is positive. They’re a very well sprited breed. Males and females are easy to tell apart, but it’s not so obvious which is which, the distinction is a bit arbitrary.
They don’t laugh when tickled, indicating anger. I expect them to start beating the crap out of each other, and within a few seconds the male is wailing on the female. It sounds like she reciprocates, although the game is out of view. Then she falls asleep. When she wakes up the pair are amicable again, happily chomping down on tomatoes. I leave them to go and test out some other stuff.
My two Grendels have reached adolescence by eight minutes.
I notice there are some agents in the pack so I inject them. I cannot use the desert nursery or new gadget dropper at the moment, but I add crystal skull, succulent, thorny devil and sunflower which are sent automatically to the inventory. A nice feature that I think JayD used to use, this also happens to the ice cream machine below.
Harlem, the female, is wandering around the desert terrified by thunder. She is now an adult at seventeen minutes. I push the skull and its eyes light up. I tell her to push it and she says something Lovecraftian. I am not sure if the skull affects her mood, but she ends up very lonely so I take her back to her mate Gothik who has teleported to the water wheel area. These guys like to push teleporters.
The succulent will only grow in the desert as far as I can make out. I’ve lost the seed launcher for the sunflowers. The thorny devils seem drawn to the edge of the garden and are repeatedly walking into the barrier. I put one into the pond. It continues to walk ever left, seemingly amphibious.
Harlem is angry again. “push grendel” eventually produces a kisspop, but no pregnancy. Gothik seems more interested in pushing bees and crying out in pain. I decide to let nature take its course. Perhaps there will be some Grendel babies by the next post.
Ice Cream Machine (Survivor Arctic prize)
I’ve been wanting to use this agent for a while, it looks like so much fun. Without C3 I can’t do as many of the flavors, but I may come back to it.
Trying to use the machine without ingredients makes a failure type whirring noise. Surprisingly an ice cream comes out. I’ts a sickly looking marshmallow like confection - Vanilla I think? Lemon produces a yellow ice cream cone, peaking pie a fuchsia soft serve style, yarn fruit yellow with green stripes, justanut starry, carrot nothing (it rejects the carrot and spits out a white cone), justanut nothing, explodonut nothing,
I try some pack agents. Awkwood is not a valid ingredient, nor is a chilli pepper. Quirky cookies as expected produce ice cream with little cookie bits in it. Pappus and potions have no effects which is just as well. Ick.
Unlike the quirky cookie machine, this does not seem able to be programmed with new recipes. A bit of a shame. I wanted to create a chilli one.
Creature Professions & Carrot Packs
I fire up C3 standalone to use these. A turquoise and a pink Colortrue Ettin will be my guinea pigs.
It turns out that even though this creature professions agent injects into the Norn terrarium, it will only inject in DS. So I create a docked world in DS and hatch two more Ettins, then inject the agent.
An error dialog says “crek.wav” is missing. I copy “edie.wav” and rename it. The wardrobe works fine. There is however another sound error when I try to apply the clothing. Lather, rinse and repeat. No more errors, but the clothing isn’t showing up. I try reloading the game, and then force aging the Ettins. This time an error about an out of range sprite. I don’t know what it was exactly because I hit “quit” by accident.
It looks like the overlay data are in the wrong folder. This is a common problem with Exodus. I move them and everything works, although I have to repeat the force aging. The farmer suit, as expected, has no immediate effect. After putting some carrot boxes in the desert and moving the Ettin there, I expect him to push the boxes, but nothing. I’m not exactly sure what is supposed to happen, so I move on to the knight suit.
Unlike the farmer outfit, the knight armer seems to have a slimming effect. I introduce a Grendel and a Norn to the world and put them near the female Ettin. She ignores them - I guess Ettins have no enemies.
I try to transfer the knight suit to the Norn, but I get another error. The game crashes again.

Because I couldn’t find these anywhere else. Ripped straight outta the CAOS guide for your viewing pleasure.

Brazil has officially surpassed Japan in the weird cartoon stakes, taking gold, silver and bronze.NSWF, unless you work in a sewage treatment plant that is also a sex toy factory.
“It is as beautiful as it is rare. A frost flower is created on autumn or early winter mornings when ice in extremely thin layers is pushed out from the stems of plants or occasionally wood. This extrusion creates wonderful patterns which curl and fold into gorgeous frozen petioles giving this phenomenon both its name and its appearance.”
Beautiful.

Grendel that walked on water. Since he also teleported to the edge of the ocean I’m pretty sure he is legit 2nd coming of Jesus. Too bad he will die in my testing world.
